Meredith International

For a customer who’s just received an invoice

Check the details. Then pay the invoice.

You’ve had an invoice that says “pay to Meredith International” instead of your tradesperson’s name. Lots of small businesses use a billing service so they don’t have to do the paperwork themselves. Verify the supplier, reference and payment details before paying.

  • Check the supplier and invoice number
  • Use the payment details shown
  • Meredith is appointed under a written agreement
  • Contact us to verify the invoice

UK business hours. Have the invoice in front of you? It helps to share the invoice number and the tradesperson’s name.

How a payment flows

Follow the invoice. Keep the reference.

  1. 01

    You pay the invoice.

Bank transfer or card, exactly as the invoice says. Use your normal banking app — you never share your bank login with us.

  2. 02

Meredith receives the payment as agent.

Payment received in accordance with the invoice counts as payment to the supplier to the extent of the amount received.

  3. 03

    Your tradesperson gets paid.

Settlement follows the supplier's written agreement and remains subject to verification and banking availability.

The bank details on your invoice are Meredith International Limited. The money is for your tradesperson. We pass it on, less the small fee they pay us for handling their billing.

Common questions

The questions most people ask.

Why am I paying Meredith and not my tradesperson?

They’ve asked us to handle their billing for them — invoicing, chasing, reconciliation. The money on the invoice is for them; we just look after it until they’re paid.

Is it safe to send money to a name I don’t recognise?

You’re paying us via your normal banking app — you never share card details or a bank login. The bank details on your invoice are Meredith International Limited. If you’d like us to confirm those details belong to us, email or call us with the invoice number.

Will I get a receipt?

Yes. Your bank transfer confirmation is your receipt. We can also send a payment confirmation if you ask.

What if there’s a problem with the work?

That’s between you and your tradesperson — we don’t do the work, we only handle payment. Talk to them directly. Once it’s resolved, the payment carries on as normal.

Can I pay in cash instead?

If your tradesperson accepts cash, that’s between you and them. Cash payments don’t come through us. For card or bank payments, the invoice tells you where to send it.

What if I’ve already paid them directly?

Get in touch with us at admin@meredithint.com. Sometimes invoices and payments cross paths \u2014 we\u2019ll make sure no-one ends up paying twice.

Why not just pay my tradesperson into their own account?

Because they’ve moved their billing to us. Paying their personal account instead can leave the invoice open in our system, which means they get chased for money they’ve technically been paid — and reconciliation gets messy. Pay the details on the invoice.

Will my data be kept private?

We use invoice and payment information as described in our Privacy Policy, including sharing with providers or authorities where necessary or required by law.

Still uncertain?

Talk to a person. We’d rather you check.

Send us the invoice number. We’ll confirm it’s ours, who it’s for, and what the payment details should be. No script, no hold music, no upsell.

Run a business yourself?

If the invoice you’ve received made you think “I could use someone like that” — we’d love to talk. Meredith handles billing and chasing for tradespeople and small businesses across the UK.
